MANUKAtex® is a permeable non-adherent primary dressing with active medical grade Manuka honey. The dressing consists of ManukaMed® honey impregnated into an acetate gauze. Dressing properties cause honey to gel with wound fluid and create an easy to remove Manuka honey dressing.

Indications

MANUKAtex® wound dressings are for use in moist wound management.

Under the supervision of a health care professional, MANUKAtex® wound dressings may be used for: leg ulcers, pressure injuries, first- and second-degree burns (superficial and partial-thickness), diabetic foot ulcers, surgical wounds, and traumatic wounds.

Warnings and Precautions

Do not use if patient is allergic to honey.

Mode of Use/Application

Apply MANUKAtex® dressing directly to wound bed.

Removal & Change Frequency

Daily or as needed. MANUKAtex® can stay in place up to 7 days, but change if dressing becomes pale or lifts from the wound. If dressing is dry, saturate with saline solution and gently remove.
