Elastic Bandages
Materials that stretch and conform to body contours. Fabric composition may include cotton, polyester, rayon or nylon. They function to provide absorption as a second layer or dressing, to hold a wound cover in place, to apply pressure or to cushion a wound. Some are self-adherent. Other uses include securing IVs and splints and providing mild compression/support for strains, sprains and edema.
