Liquid mixtures of multiprotein material and other elements found in the extracellular matrix. They are applied to the wound surface after debridement and cleansing and then covered with an absorbent dressing or a nonadherent wound pad, depending on the amount of exudate present. These products are indicated for both chronic and acute wounds.
