ColActive® Plus Ag is a protease modulating matrix comprised of collagen, EDTA, alginate, CMC and silver, indicated for the management of full- and partial-thickness wounds.
• EDTA permanently deactivates excess MMPs
• Absorbs up to 40 times its weight in wound drainage
• Inhibits microbial growth within the dressing
• Highly conformable
• Gels in the presence of moisture
• Contains alginate and CMC for optimal moisture balance
• Ionic silver
ColActive® Plus Ag dressing is indicated for the management of full- and partial-thickness wounds including: pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, ulcers caused by mixed vascular etiologies, venous ulcers, first- and second-degree bums, donor and graft sites, abrasions and lacerations, dehisced surgical wounds, and traumatic wounds healing by secondary intention.

Moderate/Highly Exudating Wounds
Non/Minimally Exudating Wounds
Debride and irrigate the wound bed with an appropriate wound cleanser or distilled water before application. The use of saline may affect the efficacy of the silver. Cut the dressing to fit the exact wound size. For heavily exudating wounds, apply the dressing directly to the wound bed. For dry wounds with very little exudate, moisten the wound bed with distilled water to begin the gelling process. Cover the ColActive® Plus Ag with an appropriate secondary dressing. Change dressings daily or as good nursing practice dictates.
Change ColActive® Plus Ag daily or according to clinical protocol.
Carefully remove the secondary dressing. Gently remove ColActive® Plus Ag dressing. Cleanse the wound site using an appropriate wound cleanser or distilled water prior to the application of a new ColActive® Plus Ag dressing as per manufacturer application instruction.
ColActive® Plus Ag should be covered with an appropriate secondary dressing.
