Indications

DeRoyal Xeroform is indicated for use on surgical incisions, donor sites, skin grafts, first- and second-degree burns, lacerations and abrasions.

Warnings and Precautions

DeRoyal Xeroform Wound Dressing is a non-allergenic and latex-safe product. It should not be used on patients with hypersensitivity to bismuth tribromophenate.
Not recommended for use on infected wounds.

Mode of Use/Application

Irrigate and cleanse wound with saline solution or sterile water. Gently dry surrounding skin. Peel open pouch and remove DeRoyal Xeroform Wound Dressing from package. Place dressing directly over wound.

Removal & Change Frequency

Change dressing per physician instructions. Recommended for daily dressing change to maintain a moist, non-adherent environment.
Assess the wound for signs and symptoms of infection. If infection is present, discontinue the use of DeRoyal Xeroform Wound Dressing.
Dispose of soiled dressing per institution's policy.

Additional Recommended Dressings

Cover with appropriate cover or secondary dressing.
