Moderate/Highly Exudating Wounds
Prior to application, cleanse the wound with normal saline or wound cleanser and gently dry the surrounding area. Apply Maxorb™ Extra Calcium Alginate to the moist wound surface, packing loosely for deeper wounds.
Maxorb™ Extra Calcium Alginate may be left in place for up to five days. Dressing change frequency will depend on the amount of drainage.
To remove, first remove the cover dressing, then remove Maxorb™ Extra from the wound bed. If the dressing has adhered to the wound bed, moisten with solution or wound cleanser to loosen before removal.
Cover with bordered gauze, an absorbent island dressing, or a transparent film dressing.
