NovaGran™ Calcium Alginate Dressing and Ropes
NovaGran™ Calcium Alginate Dressing and Ropes are composed of fibers that react with wound exudate to form a hydrophilic gel which creates a moist wound environment.
• Made with scrim layer which prevents the gel sheet from disintegrating in the wound bed
• Nonwoven, highly absorbent
• Soft and conformable
• Creates an ideal wound environment and reduces the risk of maceration to surrounding skin
• Absorbs moderate to heavily exuding wounds
• Flexibility facilitates use in cavities and tunneling wounds
NovaGran™ Calcium Alginate Dressing and Ropes are indicated for the management of moderately to heavily exuding wounds, and to control bleeding in superficial wounds. NovaGran™ Calcium Alginate Dressing and Ropes can be used on pressure injury wounds, venous lower leg ulcers, arterial ulcers, diabetic ulcers and postoperative wounds.
Do not use in cases of known sensitivity to NovaGran™ Calcium Alginate Dressings or Ropes or any of their components

Moderate/Highly Exudating Wounds
Clean and rinse the wound in the usual manner.
Dressings): Place the NovaGran™ Calcium Alginate Dressing on the moist wound. If necessary, fold or cut to adjust to wound size.
Ropes: Coil the NovaGran™ Calcium Alginate Rope gently into cavity wounds leaving an end or "tail" for easy extraction.
In case of slightly exuding wounds, moisten the dressing with physiological saline solution. Secure dressing with semi-occlusive cover dressing. Dressing change as directed, when strike through occurs, or at least every seven days. When changing dressing, remove dressing retention and gently remove gel formed of dressing and exudate. Flush if necessary. Rinse any remaining gel residue with a wound cleanser (e.g. NovaGran™ Antimicrobial Wound Solution).
