Non/Minimally Exudating Wounds
Before application, cleanse the wound using sterile saline or an appropriate wound cleanser. If an antiseptic has been used, rinse the wound carefully with normal saline.
After choosing a dressing that will cover the entire wound, remove the protective tab from the dressing, and apply directly to the wound (the TRIACT™ mesh side should be in contact with the wound).
This dressing should be changed depending on the wound condition, volume of exudate, and progression of healing, but can be left in place for up to seven days. When used on patients with epidermolysis bullosa, the dressing should be changed every one to three days.
