Wound Specialists From Around the World Gather December 1-3 in Chicago, Illinois
Chicago, IL – May 12, 2016 – The Sixth Annual Meeting of the American College of Wound Healing and Tissue Repair (ACWH) takes place Dec. 1-3, 2016 in Chicago, IL. Attendees and faculty from around the world will come together to address the need to establish a formal wound care specialty and further wound care education.
The multidisciplinary agenda focuses on high level issues regarding scientific breakthroughs, policy and regulatory issues facing the field and technological advances that will change the landscape of the wound care industry. ACWH attendees include general surgeons, wounds care specialists, vascular surgeons, podiatrists, nurses, physical therapists and researchers.
A preliminary agenda is available online at ACWound.org/congress/agenda. Currently, the agenda features sessions on Clinical Wound Care, Health Care Policy, Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine and more. Live surgical cases will be broadcast to the educational ballroom on both Thursday and Friday. This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.

"As the field of wound care continues to grow, so too does the Annual Meeting for the American College of Wound Healing and Tissue Repair," said conference co-chair William J. Ennis, DO, MBA, FACOS. "This year we will continue to examine wound care from a clinical, administrative and policy perspective. We are also adding this year, an informative trip to The International Museum of Surgical Science for a wound care exhibit."
