Atlantic Beach, FL – January 7, 2020 – Registration for the first virtual wound care conference, WoundCon, begins today. WoundCon will be held on April 2nd, 2020 and is hosted by Kestrel Health Information, Inc., the publisher of WoundSource, the leading wound care product reference guide for health care professionals. WoundCon will be free for all health care professionals and will offer multiple opportunities to earn CE/CME credits. The theme for the conference is “Learn today, apply tomorrow.”

Catherine Milne MSN, APRN, CWOCN-AP, one of the co-chairs for the conference, captured the essence of the conference: “WoundSource is well known for its innovation in providing clinicians with up to date information in a variety of ways. It just got better. WoundCon 2020 has it all: online, interactive, renowned speakers, product expo, and networking with fellow clinicians - all with digital convenience. As Clinical Editor of WoundSource and WoundCon co-chair, I invite you to explore this new way of learning today so you can use it tomorrow.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts and have opportunities to network with other professionals There will also be opportunities to interact with wound care device manufacturers and learn more about the newest innovations in the wound care arena.

As noted by Co-Chair Jayesh Shah MD, MHA, practical application is a critical element of the conference: "It is an honor to be co-chair of WoundCon - the first-ever online wound conference and expo. The conference is well organized, building upon the science of wound healing while including practical clinical applications that you can learn today and use tomorrow. This conference should be useful to all wound care professionals globally, including the novice and expert alike."

Attendees of all skill and certification levels are invited to expand their professional networks, share experiences, and contribute to the larger community of wound care specialists. Expert presenters will tackle the modern challenges faced by today’s providers, and the online expo hall will showcase the latest in wound care technology, helping people throughout the industry familiarize themselves with the techniques and equipment they are likely to use in the near future.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Cine-Med and Kestrel Health Information/WoundSource. Cine-Med is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Ciné-Med designates this live activity for a maximum of 4 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This activity provides 4 contact hours for nurses.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards and requirements for approval of providers of continuing education in podiatric medicine through a joint provider agreement between Cine-Med and Kestrel Health Information/Wound Source. Cine-Med is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine.
