Abstract
Historically, communication about surgery-related PI incidents did not always reach operating room staff and, consequently, prevention initiatives were not prevalent in perioperative environments. In February 2015, we created a perioperative PIP team and subsequently reduced surgery-related pressure injuries by 75%.
