Skin Cleansers

Skin cleansers are solutions used to remove urine, feces, contaminants, foreign debris and exudate from the skin. They are formulated with cleansing agents that minimize irritation and dryness of the skin. Indicated for full body cleansing and for perineal care to maintain healthy skin and prevent skin breakdown. Available in both rinse and no-rinse formulas and a one-step product for cleansing, moisturizing, and protecting skin. May include an antibacterial ingredient. Skin cleansers are contraindicated for wound cleansing – use a specially formulated wound cleanser. Skin cleansers are the first step in the process of cleansing, moisturizing, and protecting the genital and rectal areas for the prevention of skin breakdown.

These products are formulated with cleansing agents that minimize irritation and dryness of the skin during bathing, and may include an antibacterial agent. Skin cleansers are available in both rinse and no-rinse formulas, or as a one-step product for cleansing, moisturizing and protecting skin.

Skin cleanser products feature the following general performance properties and attributes:
• Helps maintain healthy skin function and prevent breakdown
• Gently removes contaminants from the skin surface

Skin cleansers are indicated for full body cleansing and for perineal care to maintain healthy skin and prevent skin breakdown.

Skin cleansers are contraindicated for use on deep or puncture wounds.
