AmnioExcel® Amniotic Allograft Membrane is a human placental-based tissue product processed using a proprietary method. This method preserves the native proteins and ECM found in human amniotic tissue. The membrane acts as a protective covering and easily molds and conforms to the wound bed.
• Acts as a wound covering and protective barrier during the repair of soft tissue
• Easily molds and conforms to the wound bed
• Stored at room temperature with a five year shelf life
AmnioExcel® Membrane is intended for use as a wound covering. This product is an allograft tissue intended for homologous use as a protective barrier covering during the repair of soft tissue wounds at the direction of a physician.
AmnioExcel® contains trace amounts of ethanol. It should not be used in patients with known sensitivity to these agents. In order to reduce the risk of complications, AmnioExcel® should not be used in the presence of active infection. Although donor tissue is evaluated and processed following strict FDA guidelines, the donor screening methods are limited and may not detect all diseases. As with any allograft, complications at the graft site may occur postoperatively that are not readily apparent.
AmnioExcel® Human Amniotic Membrane Allografts are suitable for transplantation in an unopened, undamaged package.
This allograft is intended for single use only. Discard any unused material.
Use is limited to specific health professionals (e.g., physicians).
Once the expiration date on the label has been reached, the allograft must be discarded.
Do not resterilize.
Do not use if the package integrity has been violated, is opened or damaged or if mishandling has caused possible damage or contamination.
Although donor tissue is evaluated and processed following strict FDA guidelines, the donor screening methods are limited and may not detect all diseases. As with any allograft, an absolute guarantee of tissue safety is not possible. This allograft has the potential to transmit infectious disease to the recipient.
AmnioExcel® Human Amniotic Membrane Allograft should be stored in a clean, dry environment at room temperature. AmnioExcel® has a five year shelf life. Check the label for expiration.
