In case of allergic reactions, please contact Coloplast for further information and directions.
Do not use Biatain® Silicone Foam Dressings with oxidizing solutions (eg, hypochlorite and hydrogen peroxide solutions). Ensure that any other evaporating solution is completely dried off before dressing application.
Do not cut the foam part of the product as this may lead to wound deterioration due to product residues left in the wound.
Do not use if package is damaged, as sterility of the product may have been compromised, potentially leading to infection.

Mode of Use/Application

Rinse the wound with lukewarm water or saline solution. Gently dry the skin around the wound. The safe use of other cleansing agents in combination with this dressing has not been demonstrated.
If any film, cream, ointment, or similar product is used, allow the skin to dry before Biatain® Silicone with 3DFit™ Technology is applied.
Select a dressing size where the foam pad overlaps the wound edge by a minimum of 1 to 2 centimeters.
Remove Biatain® Silicone with 3DFit™ Technology aseptically from the packaging. Do not touch the plain (non-printed) side of the foam.
Use the handles to prevent touching the dressing and to ensure aseptic application. Remove the center protective film first and place the foam part of the dressing over the wound. Then remove the release films on the sides as part of the dressing application.

Removal & Change Frequency

The dressing should be changed when clinically indicated or when visible signs of exudate approach the edge of the dressing. The dressing should not be left in place for more then 7 days without clinical inspection by a physician.
To remove the dressing, gently lift the corners of the dressing away from the wound. It is recommended to loosen the adhesive border before lifting the dressing away from the wound.
