ColActive® Plus (Collagen Matrix Dressing)
ColActive® Plus is a protease modulating matrix comprised of collagen, EDTA, alginate and CMC, indicated for the management of full- and partial-thickness wounds.
• EDTA and collagen target and deactivate elevated MMP activity
• Alginate and CMC allow the dressing to absorb up to 20 times its weight in wound drainage, while still maintaining an optimal moisture balance for wound closure
• Over ten years of clinical success in treating chronic stalled wounds
ColActive® Plus is indicated for use on diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, donor and graft sites, traumatic wounds, dehisced surgical wounds, first- and second-degree burns and full- and partial-thickness wounds.
ColActive® Plus dressings should not be used on third-degree burns or on patients with a known allergy or sensitivity to collagen or any other ingredient.
If sensitivity to ColActive® Plus develops, discontinue use. May be used under compression therapy under the supervision of a health care professional.

Non/Minimally Exudating Wounds
Debride and irrigate the wound bed with an appropriate wound cleanser or distilled water before application. Cut the dressing to fit the exact wound size. For heavily exudating wounds, apply the dressing directly to the wound bed. For dry wounds with very little exudate, moisten the wound bed with distilled water to begin the gelling process. Cover the ColActive® Plus with an appropriate secondary dressing. Change dressings daily or as good nursing practice dictates.
Change ColActive® Plus daily or according to clinical protocol.
Carefully remove secondary dressing. Gently remove ColActive® Plus, ensuring that the dressing removal does not damage any newly formed tissues. Cleanse the wound site using an appropriate wound cleanser or distilled water prior to the application of a new ColActive® Plus dressing as per manufacturer application instruction.
ColActive® Plus should be covered with an appropriate secondary dressing.
