Irrigate the wound site in accordance with standard protocols if necessary and dry the surrounding skin before applying dressing.
Select a size of GEMCORE360°™ Hydrocolloid Foam Backed Dressing that extends beyond the wound site by at least 2cm.
Gently warm the dressing prior to application, this will help ensure adhesion of the dressing to the patient’s skin.
Apply by smoothing the dressing across the wound to ensure that it adheres correctly to the intact skin.
GEMCORE360°™ Hydrocolloid Foam Backed Dressing can remain in situ up to five days, dependent on patient condition and the level of exudate. GEMCORE360°™ Hydrocolloid Foam Backed Dressing should be changed whenever good wound care practice dictates.
To remove the dressing, press down on the skin with one hand and carefully lift the edge of the dressing with the other hand. If the dressing is not easily removed, moisten with sterile saline solution prior to removal. Dispose of according to local procedures and guidelines.
If required, cleanse the wound site prior to application of a new dressing.
May be left in place for up to five days.
