Pre-operative Care
Surgical Site/Skin Preparation

Mode of Use/Application

Prepare the surgical site with an antiseptic agent (ie, isopropyl alcohol). Hair at and around the surgical site may be removed with electric clippers where necessary. Ensure the site is completely dry prior to applying MediClear™ PreOp.
Open the sterile pouch and remove MediClear™ PreOp. Hold the flap of the top colored liner and peel off. Place the exposed adhesive on the skin and smooth the film over the skin. Hold the flap of the remaining colored liner and peel off and smooth the film over the skin toward the edges. To remove frame: start from the pre-cut line, peel off in a circular motion, and smooth the film towards the edges to ensure good adhesion.

Removal & Change Frequency

MediClear™ PreOp should be removed immediately prior to surgery by a clinician in the operating room under sterile conditions as part of preparing the patient for the procedure. Remove MediClear™ PreOp by gently lifting one edge and slowly peeling away. Prepare the surgical site as per facility protocol.
