Indications

Völkner® Turning System BETA II is indicated to reduce or eliminate manual turning 24/7, and for the prevention and treatment of stage 1-4 pressure injuries, improvement of pulmonary function, and reduction/elimination of sleep deprivation for the patient, caregiver, and family.

Contraindications

Not suitable for patients with severe scoliosis or patients unable to lay on their back.

Warnings and Precautions

Elevation of the head by more than 30 degrees creates shearing forces in sacral region/skin breakdown.
Static function use (meal time, wound or personal care): No longer than 30 minutes.
