Emory University School of Medicine - Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing Education Center

The Emory University Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Education Program (WOCNEC) prepares the graduate to provide specialty care for patients with acute and chronic wounds, standard and continent diversions, and fecal and urinary incontinence.

The Center provides three separate courses of postgraduate study, which have been accredited by the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses Society (WOCN) since 1976. In addition, the center provides a wound management course for treatment nurses. This continuing nursing education activity (WOC Nursing Education Program) was approved by the Georgia Nurses' Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's COA.
