In 1995, Widasari Sri Gitarja Graduated from Enterostomal Therapy Nurse
Education Program (ETNEP) - WCET, Prince Margaret Hospital–Hongkong. Since leaving Hong Kong for Indonesia, she has been actively developing a new method for wound stoma and incontinence care. She was the first WOC nurse in Indonesia and had the opportunity to establish the first independent nursing care center at Dharmais Cancer Hospital in 1998 until 2007.
She is a very active person as a speaker at nursing conferences, not only in Indonesia but also in international nursing conferences (such as in Phoenix Arizona-USA, Kuala Lumpur-Malaysia, HongKong, China, Vietnam, Australia, Cape Town- South of Africa and Singapore). Those achievements helped her to win one of the inspirited women (PIN) in 2012 from NOVA magazine as an influent woman in health.
In addition, she has pursued formal and informal education paths, such as Bachelor of Nursing in 2000 and she still continues her Doctoral Research program at UPH, Indonesia. She has been the Program Director of Indonesian ETNEP of WCET(World Council of Enterostomal Therapy) 2007 – Now.
Her caring and obsession has born many things, one of those, and most phenomenal in Indonesia, is that she is a founder of the first international certificated wound care clinician program (CWCCA/C program) in Indonesia, which has graduated almost 10,000 wound clinicians. She is also the founder of wocare Indonesia, the first nursing care setting specialized in wound stoma and incontinence care.
