Turning the Clock Back on Moisture/Incontinence damaged skin with pure Hypochlorous Acid (pHA) Skin and Wound Cleanser

It is well published in peer reviewed literature that moisture, and particularly incontinence associated alkaline moisture, can severely erode normal skin. Severely damaged skin via incontinence, can lead to pressure injury formation, initiating a vicious cycle of deterioration that can lead to mortality. In addition, the effect of the negative pH disturbance is also well known.

The same effect that pure Hypochlorous Acid (pHA) cleansers have in wound bed preparation and the management of serious skin lesions (pressure injuries, trauma injuries and chronic wounds such as diabetic and venous ulcers), can be utilized in the management of MASD/IAD breakdown on skin.  This is standard of care in several facilities in North America, and based on clinician/patient experience, it is possible to return damaged skin back to health using the pH changing power of the pure hypochlorous acid based wound cleanser.

The webinar attendee will learn about how adding pHA cleanser within the toolbox of the clinician, supports prevention and treatment of MASD/IAD lesions so that they do not deteriorate to viciously worse conditions. Practice elements will be shared.
