Negative pressure wound therapy dressings are manufacturer specified dressings used as an interface between the negative pressure wound therapy device and the patient's wound.

Negative pressure wound therapy dressings include white or black foam, gauze, hydrocolloids and non-woven polyester with silicone elastomer.

Always apply according to manufacturer's recommendations. Dressing kits will often include the primary dressing, a transparent film secondary dressing, and the tubing necessary to connect the dressing to the negative pressure wound therapy device.

Dressings and kit components for use with negative pressure wound therapy systems feature the following general performance properties and attributes:
• Improves cellular migration and promotes granulation tissue formation
• Available for use in clinical and home settings
• Variety of pressure settings for different treatment protocols
• May have alarms to alert patient or caregiver of errors in the system’s operation

These dressings are indicated for use with negative pressure wound therapy devices for the removal of excess exudates, infectious material and tissue debris from chronic, acute, traumatic, subacute, and dehisced wounds such as: diabetic neuropathic ulcers, partial- and full-thickness pressure ulcers, venous insufficiency ulcers, partial-thickness burns, skin flaps and grafts.

These dressings are contraindicated for use on patients with a known sensitivity to the dressing or its components.
