Mode of Use/Application

Application is intended to be once weekly. Mirragen® Bioactive Glass may be applied under compression wraps or offloading devices.

Removal & Change Frequency

Mirragen® Bioactive Glass may remain intact until it is fully dissolved.
Mirragen® Bioactive Glass that has become integrated into the wound tissue will be fully absorbed over time – removal is not recommended.
NOTE: Do not clean aggressively or debride with sharp instruments to remove any material that has become incorporated into the wound tissue. To do so will disrupt healing.
Removal of callous or periwound debris is appropriate and encouraged.

Additional Recommended Dressings

Per user preference, use appropriate fixation as determined by wound location, size and depth.
Add a non-adherent layer to secure Mirragen® Bioactive Glass to the wound bed. Place a suitable secondary dressing over the Mirragen® Bioactive Glass to manage the wound environment and protect the wound.
