Mode of Use/Application

Preparation:
Wash and dry hands completely before use. For large scars, it is best to use gloves to apply Avosil®. Gently cleanse the scar and surrounding skin with mild soap before application. Ensure that the scar and surrounding skin are clean and dry.

Application:
Use sterile gloves or a clean application (e.g. tongue depressor) to apply Avosil®. Apply a generous layer to the area of treatment and gently rub in. Use once or twice daily. For the first few days of treatment, Avosil® may be applied more frequently to control itching and discomfort. Once discomfort is controlled, reduce the frequency of application. It is most effective to wait 30 minutes before covering the treated area with any highly absorptive dressings.
