Indications

VT • 100 is indicated for use on patients with traumatic wounds, dehisced wounds, partial thickness burns, chronic wounds such as pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, acute wounds, flaps, and grafts.

Contraindications

VT • 100 is contraindicated in patients with the following conditions:
1. Presence of necrotic tissue
2. Malignancy (except for quality of life reason for terminal patients)
3. Exposed arteries, veins, nerves, organs or vascular graft
4. Use over anastomotic sites
5. Untreated osteomyelitis
6. Unexplored or non-enteric fistulas

Warnings and Precautions

1. Precautions should be taken for patients with the following conditions:
2. Difficult wound hemostasis, or who are on anticoagulants
3. Exposed tendon, nerves or blood vessels should be protected
4. Weakened, irradiated or sutured blood vessels or organs
5. Bone fragments or sharp edges
6. Infected wound
7. For patients a known history of autonomic dysreflexia, please increase number of monitoring during the treatment as well as inspection for displacement of dressings.
8. Do not use NPWT if person experiences autonomic dysreflexia
9. For complete indication for use, please refer to the VT • 100 user’s manual. Do not operate this product before reading the manual thoroughly
