Apply dressing to skin while removing first backing paper (marked 1). Remove second backing paper and smooth dressing down, applying light pressure. Peel off dressing carrier (marked 2).
The dressing should be changed if strikethrough or leaking of exudate occurs or if the dressing lifts, allowing access to bacteria and water. Time between dressing changes may be dependent upon your hospital protocol.
