Contraindications

• Malignancy in the wound bed or wound margins
• Previously confirmed and untreated osteomyelitis
• Non-enteric and unexplored fistulas
• Necrotic tissue with eschar
• Exposed arteries, veins, nerves, or organs
• Anastomotic sites
• Emergency airway aspiration
• Pleural, mediastinal, or chest tube drainage
• Surgical suction
• Patients with high (>37.5 mL/day) exudate flow rates
• Neonates, infants, or children

Warnings and Precautions

• Use only under the direction of a licensed clinician.
• Monitor patients at risk for bleeding complications.
• Discontinue therapy and seek medical attention if sudden or increased bleeding occurs.
• Ensure tubing is not kinked, blocked, twisted, trapped, or contaminated.
• Avoid placing the system where pressure injury, strangulation, heat exposure, or contamination may occur.
• Do not use in MRI environments.
• Do not modify, open, or perform internal maintenance on the device.
• Inspect the system, dressings, canister, pump, alarms, battery life, and tubing regularly.
• Dressing changes should be performed by licensed and trained clinicians.
• Use caution in patients receiving anticoagulants, with friable blood vessels, untreated malnutrition, or wounds near major vessels.
• More frequent dressing changes may be required for infected wounds.
• Do not use oil-based products that may interfere with dressing seal integrity.
• Ensure all wound fillers are removed during dressing changes.
• Single-patient use only.

Storage Requirements

Store in a dry, temperature-controlled environment.
Keep dry.
Keep away from sunlight.
Avoid excessive heat and humidity.
Do not expose the NPWT unit, dressings, canisters, or accessories to direct heat or cold.

Mode of Use/Application

Apply the dressing interface and Prospera Propel FX Dome according to clinician instructions and initiate continuous negative pressure wound therapy.

Removal & Change Frequency

• When replacing a wound dressing or removing the system, remove all wound filler material and particles from the wound bed.
• Follow local regulations for infection control and disposal of used dressings and canisters.
• Change dressings as clinically indicated and according to licensed clinician direction.

Additional Recommended Dressings

Compatible with Lumitech® Incisional Wound Dressings.

Construction

Single-use powered NPWT system consisting of a therapy unit, 45 cc canister with integrated tubing, and Prospera Propel FX Dome utilizing Propel Technology.

Warranty

Prospera Flex® NPWT device is warranted for seven (7) days from initial use or until expiration, whichever occurs first. Accessories, spare parts, and consumables are warranted for ninety (90) days from shipment.
