Vascular Testing Devices

DMCA.com Protection Status

Vascular testing devices are diagnostic instruments that use non-invasive technology such as laser beam, ultrasound, cuffs, or a probe applied to a specific site on the skin to measure blood flow velocity and determine segmental blood pressures, including ankle brachial index (ABI). These devices are indicated to test for vascular disease in both deep and superficial vessels as part of the wound assessment process or to determine wound healing potential. They are available in portable and pocket designs and with a software package that provides printouts and computer reporting. Testing may be part of a procedure billed using a CPT® code.
