Indications

Silicone Foam Dressings are designed for a wide range of exudating wounds such as pressure ulcers/injuries, leg and foot ulcers, and traumatic wounds e.g skin tears and surgical wounds.
Product can also be used on dry/necrotic wounds in combination with gels.
Product may be used as part of a prophylactic therapy to help prevent skin damage, e.g. pressure injury and postoperative blistering.

Contraindications

Not suitable for third degree burns or wounds with uncontrolled bleeding.

Warnings and Precautions

Do not reuse.
Do not use on patients with known sensitivity to the dressing or its components.
In the case of signs of clinical infection, consult a health care professional for adequate infection
treatment.
Do not use product together with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide.
The use of dressings as part of a prophylactic therapy does not preclude the need to continue to develop and follow a comprehensive pressure ulcer prevention protocol, i.e. support surfaces, positioning, nutrition, hydration, skin care, and mobility.

Storage Requirements

This product should be stored sealed and away from sunlight.
Product should be stored in dry conditions 0º–25ºC.

How Supplied/Sizing
Squares of 2x2cm up to 6x6cm, bordered and non bordered. Specialty sizes such as 2x4cm oval, 4x10cm, heel, and 2 sacral sizes.
