Indications

Sofsorb® may be used for: partial- and full-thickness wounds, tunneling wounds, wounds with heavy drainage, surgical wounds, heavily draining venous, arterial or neuropathic ulcers, pressure ulcers (stages 2-4), burns, minor lacerations and abrasions or as a postoperative dressing.

Mode of Use/Application

Before application, cleanse wound with saline or another non-irritating solution, if necessary.
Apply Sofsorb® to the wound with the contact layer facing towards the wound surface. If using as a wet dressing, first soak Sofsorb® with saline or preferred topical solution. Squeeze out the excess fluid and apply to the wound.

Removal & Change Frequency

Gently lift the dressing from the wound. If in use as a wet dressing and the dressing has dried out, or if the dry dressing adheres to the wound, moisten with saline before removing.

Additional Recommended Dressings

Secure the dressing in place with an elastic bandage, roll gauze or tape.
