UrgoK2™ is for the treatment of venous leg ulcers, venous edema and lymphedema, which require full compression.
Arterial conditions (arterial or predominantly arterial ulcers; known or suspected arterial disease).
Ankle-brachial Index (ABI) <0.8.
Patients suffering from diabetic microangiopathy, ischemic phlbitis (phlegmatia coerulea dolens), septic thrombosis.
Ulceration caused by infection.
Allergy to any of the components.
Check that the ABI >0.8 before prescribing the bandage system.
In the event of diabetes, heart failure or advanced micro-vascular disease, use the compression system with close medical monitoring following appropriate treatment.
In case of infected peri-ulcer dermatitis, treat infection before commencing compression bandage therapy.
In case of an ulcer from a rare origin (vasculitis, hemopathy, pyoderma gangrenosum, etc.) the compression system should only be used following specialist referral.
The efficacy of UrgoK2™ has been tested and validated for the application KTECH and KPRESS together.
The PresSure system has been specifically designed to aid application of the bandages; it is important to follow the instructions carefully to achieve the recommended therapeutic pressure.
If you have any concern, especially in case of pain whilst wearing the compression system, contact your doctor or clinician.
Any serious incident linked to the product has to be reported to the manufacturer.
