Mode of Use/Application

Prepare wound bed per your standard wound care protocol and debride when necessary. Wound bed should be clear of any visual signs of infection.
For optimal effect, apply 3M™ Promogran™ Collagen Matrix with ORC Dressing directly to the whole wound bed.
For a wound with low or no exudate apply 3M™ Promogran™ Collagen Matrix with ORC Dressing and hydrate with saline solution. This will initiate the transformation of the 3M™ Promogran™ Collagen Matrix with ORC Dressing into a gel matrix.
After hydration, through exposure to wound exudate or saline, the 3M™ Promogran™ Collagen Matrix with ORC gel will intimately come into contact with the wound surface.
The biodegradable 3M™ Promogran™ Collagen Matrix with ORC gel is naturally absorbed into the body over time.
In order to maintain a moist wound healing environment 3M™ Promogran™ Collagen Matrix with ORC Dressing must be covered with a semi-occlusive dressing or a non-occlusive secondary dressing and fixed to the skin with a nonirritating tape.

Removal & Change Frequency

After initial application, reapply 3M™ Promogran™ Collagen Matrix with ORC Dressing to the wound up to every 72 hours depending upon the amount of exudate. It is not necessary to remove any residual 3M™ Promogran™ Collagen Matrix with ORC Dressing during dressing changes.
