Indications

ALLEVYN COMPLETE CARE is indicated for wound management by secondary intention on shallow, granulating wounds, chronic and acute exudative wounds, full and partial thickness wounds including pressure injuries, leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical wounds, superficial and partial thickness burns, skin graft donor sites, skin tears, and fungating ulcers. It is also indicated for pressure injury prevention as part of a pressure injury prevention protocol.

Warnings and Precautions

Do not cut the absorbent pad as internal dressing components may contaminate the wound leading to delayed healing.
Do not immerse the dressing in water (eg, bathing or swimming)
Do not use with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions (e.g. EUSOL) or hydrogen peroxide as these can reduce the absorbency of the dressing.
If reddening or sensitization occurs discontinue use.
The use of ALLEVYN COMPLETE CARE Dressings as part of a prophylactic pressure injury prevention therapy, does not preclude the need to continue to develop and follow a comprehensive pressure injury prevention protocol (eg, regular turning, appropriate mattress and skin care).
ALLEVYN COMPETE CARE dressings are single use only and should not be re-used as cross contamination or infection may occur and the dressing may be ineffective.
Once opened, do not retain unused dressings for application at a later date.
If used on infected wounds, the infection should be inspected and treated as per local clinical protocol.

Storage Requirements

Foam dressings should be stored in a dry and cool storage location that should not pass 77°F
