ArtAssist® is a medical compression treatment developed by vascular surgeons to increase blood flow to non-surgical ischemic limbs.
• Increases blood flow
• Increases pain-free walking distance
• Heals arterial and diabetic ulcers
ArtAssist® is intended for use with patients with peripheral arterial disease, pain while walking and at rest due to poor circulation, diabetic foot and arterial ulcers.
ArtAssist® is contraindicated for use during episodes of superficial phlebitis, cellulitis or osteomyelitis; when increased venous and lymphatic return is undesirable, such as in patients with severe congestive heart failure; when deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism exist or is suspected or in cases of acute ischemia due to arterial blood clot.
Apply the ArtAssist® compression cuffs, connect tubing, position patient upright in a chair with feet flat on the ground and turn the device on. Typical regimen is one hour T.I.D.
Patients should leave all wound dressings, pants and socks on during treatment session.
