Maxorb® Extra Ag+ is indicated for use on moderately to heavily draining partial- and full-thickness wounds, pressure injuries, leg ulcers, first- and second-degree burns, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical wounds, graft and donor sites, and trauma wounds.
Contraindicated in patients with a known sensitivity to alginates or silver. Not for use on third-degree burns, dry or lightly draining wounds, to control heavy bleeding, or as a surgical implant.
The dressing will become gel-like as it absorbs drainage. Should any signs of irritation or sensitivity appear, discontinue use and consult a health care professional. Systemic antimicrobial therapy should be considered when wound infection is evident. Maxorb® Extra Ag+ wound dressings may be used in conjunction with systemic antibiotics under medical supervision.
Store at room temperature.
