Moderate/Highly Exudating Wounds
Cleanse the wound with an appropriate wound cleanser. Remove the dressing from the package and apply the dressing so that it fully covers the wound bed. Cover with an appropriate absorbent secondary dressing.
Note: Maxorb® Extra Ag+ may be cut to fit if necessary.
Maxorb® Extra Calcium Alginate may be left in place for up to seven days. Dressing change frequency will depend on the amount of drainage.
To remove, first remove the cover dressing, then remove Maxorb® Extra from the wound bed. If the dressing has adhered to the wound bed, moisten with solution or wound cleanser to loosen before removal.
Optifoam® Gentle or other absorbent secondary dressing.
