Indications

Optifoam® Gentle EX dressings are indicated for partial- and full-thickness wounds.

Contraindications

Contraindicated for use on third-degree burns. Not for use on patients with a silicone allergy.

Storage Requirements

Protect from freezing, avoid excessive heat.

Mode of Use/Application

Square:
Remove dressing from package. Remove one piece of the release liner. Place dressing on the wound and remove the other release liner. Gently secure the dressing to the skin

Sacral:
Position patient on their side. Remove center release liner. Fold dressing in half, anchor dressing in gluteal cleft. Remove release liner from upper side of the dressing and smooth upward away from bed and repeat on other side. Gently secure the dressing to the skin.

Removal & Change Frequency

Optifoam® Gentle EX should be changed when drainage is visible to the edges of the foam pad. It may stay in place for up to 7 days depending on the amount of drainage.
