ZeniFIBER

ZeniFIBER is a sterile wound dressing composed of calcium alginate fibers derived from seaweed. The dressing absorbs wound exudate and forms a soft gel on contact with fluid, helping maintain a moist wound environment.

Indications

ZeniFIBER is indicated for the management of moderate to heavily exuding wounds, including:
• Pressure injuries
• Diabetic foot ulcers
• Venous leg ulcers
• Arterial ulcers
• Donor sites
• Surgical wounds
• Shallow or cavity wounds

Contraindications

ZeniFIBER is contraindicated for:
• Full-thickness (third-degree) burns
• Dry or minimally exuding wounds
• Wounds requiring surgery to achieve hemostasis
• Wounds with untreated infection
• Patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the dressing component

Warnings and Precautions

• Single patient use only. Do not reuse.
• Discontinue use when wound exudate decreases to minimal levels.
• If signs of irritation or sensitivity occur, discontinue use.

Adverse Effects/Reactions

No known adverse effects or reactions.

Storage Requirements

Store at room temperature in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight and excessive humidity. Dispose of used dressing per institutional policy and local regulations.

Mode of Use/Application

1. Clean the wound according to clinical practice.
2. Gently dry the surrounding skin.
3. Select a dressing size that extends covers the wound bed or cavity. The dressing may be cut to size or shape, if necessary.
4. For cavity wounds, loosely pack the dressing without overfilling.
5. Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing.

Removal & Change Frequency

1. Change frequency depends on wound condition and exudate level. Replace daily; or when the secondary dressing becomes saturated. May be left on wound up to 7 days.
2. To remove, irrigate the wound with sterile water or sterile saline to rinse the dressing residue.

Additional Recommended Dressings

Secure with appropriate secondary dressing for exudate absorption such as foam, super absorbent, composite dressing or gauze.
