Indications

DermaHoney Border is indicated for: chronic wounds such as: pressure injuries; superficial and partial thickness burns; venous ulcers; arterial ulcers; diabetic ulcers; fungating wounds; acute wounds such as donor sites, sSurgical wounds, cuts, abrasions.

Contraindications

DermaHoney Border dressing is not indicated for: heavily exuding wounds; patients with a known sensitivity to honey or any other component parts; full thickness burns; fistulae; deep narrow cavities or sinuses.

Warnings and Precautions

The dressing may be used on contaminated and colonized wounds. However, where wounds are clinically infected, discontinue use and seek appropriate medical supervision. Any further treatment for infection should be initiated as per local protocols and under medical guidance. The bacterial barrier property of the dressing is compromised if the dressing is punctured, is not fully adhered to the skin or exudate escapes from under the edges. Care should be taken on removal to avoid skin damage due to adhesives, especially for repeated applications.
