Biatain® Silicone Ag is a foam dressing with a gentle silicone border for a wide range of exuding wounds. Combines the benefits of 3DFit™ Technology with a silver compound for antimicrobial activity in the dressing.
• Conforms to the wound bed for up to 2cm to match the shape and depth of the wound
• Reduces the risk of exudate pooling and bacteria growth in the wound
• Exudate and bacteria are absorbed and retained within the dressing
• Achieves a 4-log reduction in the dressing in microorganisms commonly found in wounds
• Sustains antimicrobial activity for up to 7 days
• Disrupts, reduces, and prevents regrowth of bacterial aggregates
Biatain® Silicone Ag is intended to provide a moist wound environment and exudate management of acute and chronic wounds. Biatain® Silicone Ag is indicated for the management of exuding leg and foot ulcers, pressure injuries, diabetic foot ulcers, superficial and partial-thickness burns, donor sites, and traumatic and post-operative wounds. The dressing sustains antimicrobial activity for up to 7 days.
