Exufiber® Ag+ is an antimicrobial gelling fiber dressing with high tensile strength and retention capacity featuring Hydrolock® Technology. Gels on contact with wound exudate to facilitate moist wound healing and ease of removal during dressing changes.
• High retention capacity reduces the risk of leakage and maceration
• High wet tensile strength enables one-piece dressing removal and reduces the risk of residue and fibers being left in the wound
• Sustained antimicrobial effect
• May be left in place for up to seven days
Exufiber® Ag+ is intended to be used on a wide range of exuding wounds, including pressure ulcers, leg and foot injuries, partial-thickness burns, surgical wounds, donor sites, chronic wounds and oncology wounds.
All wounds should be inspected frequently. In case of signs of infection, consult a health care professional for infection treatment. Exufiber® Ag+ is not intended for dry wounds or full-thickness burns. If the dressing dries out and is difficult to remove, it should be moistened according to clinical practice and allowed to soak until it lifts easily.
Moderate/Highly Exudating Wounds
Cleanse the wound with wound cleanser according to clinical practice. Thoroughly dry the surrounding skin. Aseptically remove the dressing from the package. For shallow wounds: apply Exufiber® Ag+ dressing to cover the entire wound with overlap onto the surrounding skin by at least 1cm to 2cm. The Exufiber® Ag+ dressing will slightly shrink as it absorbs wound fluid. For wounds with depth: loosely pack ribbon or sheet into the wound. Fixate with an appropriate secondary dressing. Compression therapy may be used in conjunction with Exufiber® Ag+.
May be left in place for up to seven days.
